Fife Art Exhibition 2020

Fife Art Exhibition 2020

Fife Art Exhibition 2020

Fife’s biggest annual arts competition will be going ahead in 2020 with a new theme and in a brand new venue!

Theme – Coast and Waters

In 2020, a Visit Scotland initiative aims to celebrate Scotland’s Coast and Waters with a programme of activity designed to inspire both visitors and locals to explore and experience our beautiful shores.

The coastline of Fife is unrivalled and as such, we’re challenging 2020 participants to reflect this in the artwork they submit.

Change of Venue

This year, the exhibition will take place in Rothes Halls, Kingdom Centre, Glenrothes, KY7 5NX

The workshops which run during the exhibition period will take place in Lochgelly Centre’s visual art department. Details of the workshops will be presented to participants during the’ hand in’ period.

Online

Due to the current Covid 19 situation, the 2020 application process will happen online. Please download the application form which you can access HERE, complete the details and return it to Fife.Art@onfife.com as an email attachment. If you are unable to do this, the form can be printed out and returned to Fife Art Exhibition, Rothes Halls, Kingdom Centre, Glenrothes, KY7 5NX

It is hoped that by September, restrictions will have been relaxed and an ‘actual’ exhibition can take place. If this hasn’t happened, an online version of the exhibition will be organized.

Shell – our generous sponsor

As in previous years, the six works judged the best will be purchased by Shell for presentation to Fife hospitals and healthcare facilities. Each of the winning artists will receive a Shell award of £200.

Shell recognize that this year’s exhibition opportunity is important to our local arts and crafts community. For this group, the creation of artwork has been a welcome focus during the lockdown period and we are hopeful of hosting a large, inspirational display!
